- Partly. Indus, Sarvam's chat app at indus.sarvam.ai, launched in February 2026 as a free beta and showed no paid plan or upgrade prompt when we checked on 17 October 2026. Sarvam's developer APIs are paid per use in rupees, but new accounts get free credits to try them, and the pay-as-you-go plan has no monthly fee.

- API usage is billed from prepaid rupee credits. On pay as you go (₹0 a month), speech-to-text is ₹0.49 a minute, Bulbul V3 text-to-speech ₹3 per 1,000 characters, translation ₹2 per 1,000 characters, and the Sarvam 105B model ₹15 per million input tokens.
