- Is "INR pricing" the same as "bills in INR"?
- Not on this site — we track them separately. "INR pricing" means the vendor shows a rupee figure on the page; "bills in INR" means your card or bank is actually charged in rupees rather than dollars. A tool can show a converted rupee estimate while still settling in USD, which is exactly where a foreign-exchange markup sneaks in. Every tool listed here bills in INR natively.
- Does billing in INR mean I get a GST-compliant invoice?
- Not necessarily — they're separate checks on our India-readiness scorecard. Google Gemini and Claude's individual plan both bill in INR but don't currently issue a GSTIN-attached invoice a registered business can claim input tax credit against. See our GST invoice guide for the ones that do.
- Why do some global tools still bill in USD despite showing an INR price?
- Usually because there's no Indian legal entity or India-specific payment processor behind the product — the rupee figure is a live currency conversion for the visitor, while the actual charge still runs through the vendor's international billing system, and your card issuer adds a foreign-transaction markup on top.
