Jio Gemini Pro offer last date: it closed on 29 October 2026. Here's what happens now

The last date to claim Jio's free 18 months of Google AI Pro was 29 October 2026, and Jio's offer page has since been taken down. If you claimed in time, you keep the full 18 months. Here's what to do if you claimed, what to do if you missed it, and what Jio gives now.

The last date to claim Jio's free Google AI Pro offer was 29 October 2026. Jio's terms set the offer period as 30 October 2025 to 29 October 2026, with the option for Jio to pick another date, and we found no announcement of an extension. When we checked on 1 November 2026, Jio's Google Gemini offer page at jio.com returned "page not found", and deal trackers and consumer-tech sites reported that the offer no longer appears on new recharges.

So if you haven't claimed it yet, you can't claim it now. If you did claim it, nothing changes for you: your 18 months continue from your own activation date. This post covers both cases, and the cheapest ways to get Gemini's paid features if you missed the deadline.

If you claimed before 29 October: you keep all 18 months

The deadline was only for new claims. Your Google AI Pro subscription runs for 18 months from the day you activated it, so someone who claimed in November 2025 keeps it until about May 2027, and someone who claimed on 29 October 2026 keeps it until April 2028. Open the Google One app or one.google.com and look under your plan to see the exact end date.

One condition still applies for the whole 18 months: you must stay on an eligible Jio plan. Jio's terms said access can be suspended if you move to a cheaper plan or your recharge lapses, and it resumes when you recharge — but the 18-month clock keeps running while it's suspended. Porting your number out of Jio cancels the benefit.

When the 18 months end, the plan doesn't auto-renew, so you won't be charged. Your Google account simply drops to the free Gemini plan, and if you've been using the extra storage that came with AI Pro, you'll need to clear space or pay for storage before then.

If you missed it: there's no way to claim it now

Be careful with websites, videos and WhatsApp forwards claiming a "new link" to get Jio's Gemini offer after the deadline. Genuine Jio offers only appear inside the MyJio app. Never enter your Jio OTP, Google password or UPI PIN on any other page that promises the offer.

If Jio or Google brings back a similar deal, it will show up as a banner in MyJio. We'll update this post if that happens.

What Gemini costs if you didn't get the free plan

Gemini's free plan works for anyone, on any network, and covers everyday writing, summarising and questions. Above it, Google sells two paid plans in India. Google AI Plus launched on 10 December 2025 at ₹199 a month for the first six months and ₹399 after that, with higher Gemini limits, video generation, more NotebookLM research and 200 GB of storage that you can share with up to five family members. Google AI Pro, the plan Jio was giving away, costs about ₹1,950 a month.

For most people, the free plan or AI Plus is enough. AI Pro is worth paying for only if you regularly hit AI Plus limits or need the extra storage.

What Jio gives now: Canva, not Gemini

Jio's newer free subscription is Canva, the design app, which includes Canva's AI design tools. Business Today and 91mobiles reported in mid-September 2026 that Jio users on the ₹399 plan can claim 12 months of Canva Pro, and users on ₹349 and eligible 2 GB/day plans get Canva Pro Lite, from the MyJio app. Jio's terms limit it to people who have never had a paid Canva subscription.

It's a useful extra if you make social posts, flyers or presentations, but it isn't a replacement for Gemini or ChatGPT.

And no, there was never a Jio ChatGPT offer

Many people searching for the Jio Gemini deadline are also looking for free ChatGPT with Jio. That has never existed: Jio's AI deal was Google's Gemini, and the free ChatGPT Go year came from OpenAI for everyone in India and closed on 21 January 2026. Our Jio ChatGPT offer explainer covers that confusion, and our post on the ChatGPT Go free year explains the renewals now reaching people who claimed it.
